Delete your account

You can permanently delete your DoorLink account at any time. This page explains how to delete your account, what data is removed, what limited data may be retained, and how long the process takes.

DoorLink is operated by DigitalAlerts B.V., registered in the Netherlands.

1. Delete Your Account From Within the App

Account deletion is available directly inside the DoorLink mobile app:

  1. Open the DoorLink app and sign in.
  2. Go to the Settings tab.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm by entering your account password.

Deletion takes effect immediately: we revoke all active sessions, deactivate your household memberships and push notifications, and remove your personal data. This action cannot be undone.

2. Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by emailing privacy@doorlink.io from the email address associated with your account, using the subject line "Account Deletion Request". To protect your account, we may ask you to verify your identity before we process the request. We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.

3. What Data Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

  • Your account and login credentials (your access is revoked and all active sessions are ended).
  • Your personal profile information, such as your display name, phone number, and profile photo.
  • Your household memberships and associated settings.
  • Your push notification tokens.
  • Other personal data associated with your account.

4. What Data Is Retained, and For How Long

Most personal data is removed as described above. We retain a limited set of records only where required by law or necessary for security and fraud prevention. These records are not used to identify or contact you for any other purpose.

5. How Long Deletion Takes

  • In the app: Immediate. Your data is removed as soon as you confirm.
  • By email request: Completed within 30 days of identity verification.
